Once you have registered with us, your records will be assessed by our nurses to ensure you are on the correct recall programmes for cervical screening, mammograms, immunisations, diabetes checks, weight, blood pressure and cholesterol.
At Stoddard Road Medical Centre we encourage our patients to take advantage of all routine vaccinations. Call our friendly receptionists to book an appointment or talk to our nurses to discuss further.
Non Funded Vaccinations
Diphtheria & Tetanus (ADT)
If travelling near or far, it is worthwhile considering whether you need protection against certain diseases. Even within the Pacific Islands and Bali, you will not be protected against certain illnesses, such as hepatitis A and typhoid, as these illnesses are not very common in New Zealand. If planning travel, we recommend a travel consultation with one of our doctors. They will give you up to date information and offer vaccinations if required. Please try to book as early as possible prior to intended travel so there is time for your vaccinations.
If you’ve had a blood test or other medical test, the doctor or nurse will contact you only if there is a concern. If your results are normal, you will not be contacted. Please phone the nurse if you would still like to know your results or on Health 365 if registered. Leave a couple of days for blood and urine results and a week for smears and two weeks for the results of skin biopsies. If the nurse is busy please leave a message and she will get back to you as soon as possible.
