Travel Vaccines

If travelling near or far, it is worthwhile considering whether you need protection against certain diseases. Even within the Pacific Islands and Bali, you will not be protected against certain illnesses, such as hepatitis A and typhoid, as these illnesses are not very common in New Zealand. If planning travel, we recommend a travel consultation with one of our doctors. They will give you up to date information and offer vaccinations if required. Please try to book as early as possible prior to intended travel so there is time for your vaccinations.

Test Results

If you’ve had a blood test or other medical test, the doctor or nurse will contact you only if there is a concern. If your results are normal, you will not be contacted. We encourage our patients to register onto our patient portal, our receptionists will assist you with this process. Patient portal will give you the ability to review your laboratory results, as well as making appointments online and ordering repeat prescriptions.

Leave a couple of days for blood and urine results and a week for smears and two weeks for the results of skin biopsies.  Please phone the nurse if you would still like to know your results. If the nurse is busy please leave a message and she will get back to you as soon as possible.
